SIAA held our annual Lunar New Year Dinner & Networking night on 17 Feb 2011 with industry players from automation, telecommunications, oil & gas, electronics, instrumentation, food manufacturing. There were also representatives from government agencies International Enterprise Singapore, SPRING Singapore, LTA and research institutes SimTech, A*Star and local polytechnics.

This event was also planned as a inter-associations ‘exchange programme’ to foster greater co-operation with one another. It was attended by Association of Electronics Industries Singapore (AEIS), International Society of Automation (ISA) and Singapore Food Manufacturer's Association (SFMA).

At the event, SIAA corporate members showcased some of their products & solutions and one of the highlights was the demo of SIAA M2M Service Portal which is planned to be launched in June 11.

SIAA President Dr Tan Guan Hong gave his opening speech and the Vice President of ICT Division of Frost & Sullivan presented an overview on the M2M industry. The evening ended with the presentation of a token of appreciation to the different representatives for the event.
